New Bike, Backorders, & Bolts

Well, Richard & I just got back from one of our local Triumph dealers,
Motorcycle Mania here in Houston.  We left a deposit on the table for
the next Red ST that comes through his door.  Soon we will have matching
STs--almost--Richard's will have the Invincashield on the tank while
mine has the carbon fiber tank protector.  The dealer just got a fax
from Triumph USA today saying that all of the back orders would be taken
care of by the end of May (I read the fax!).  He's had a Red ST on order
since February.  He also has Triumph checking to see if another dealer
will trade him a Red ST for the Black one he has on the floor.  Hope it
gets here soon!  We placed an order for the three box set so we will
have one top box between the two bikes.  We must be crazy!!  Richard's
Sprint Exec. is just a year old and in great shape . . . Does anyone
know someone who might be interested in it???  It's Red, of course, and
has a top box, side bags, and a Corbin seat . . . . .

Also, my dealer clarified the "bolt" question.  The bolts should be
replaced, but as a quick fix, evidently Triumph is suggesting that the
coating be removed from the existing the bolts and using them until the
new bolts are in.
