Top Box Assembly Report and Review

Hi All:

OK, so I have the top box together.  Piece of cake.  The unit comes
with the lower half latches and locks assembled, and the latching
mechanism and lock to the top rack assembled, and the hinges and one 
pair of rubber footies installed on the lower half.  The assembly 
consists of: bolt the hinges with the other pair of rubber footies to 
the upper half, install the travel limiting cords by inserting the 
crimp ends through holes in the upper half, install the latching plates 
to the upper half, and install the Triumph logo sticker.  Done.

The box looks very nice.  The latch to the top rack is nicely executed.
The latches themselves are good and have locks on both latches.  The
lid snugs down tight enough that I have high hopes for a decent water-
tight seal.  The Triumph logo sticker is a good expensive one, with the
rubberized coating on it (like the one on the upper triple tree and the 
Union Jack on the tail).  And the unit will *just* hold two Shoei RF800 
lids (one XXL plus one M) if you nest them properly (on their sides,
neck openings towards each other, and facing oppositely).  Perfect.
