James,
I went with the Mobil 1 T4 for Triumph at 600 miles. I then changed again at
3000 with the same. My thought is use what Triumph recomends simply because
its not worth finding out what doesn't work to save a couple bucks every few
months. Belive me I was tempted to find an alternative since I ride a lot of
miles generally speaking. I was also floored at the price of the Triumph
oil! Also, since there are still a few glitches in the bike still and I've
seen some reports about burned valves and top end, I don't want to have any
disputes should there be a warranty claim. Finally, my personal belief is
that no matter what super synthetic titanium oil you may use, it all gets
dirty the same way no matter how long it takes to break down. Thats why the
change at 3000.
Lisa,
I know a great place in Hot Springs and can send you some info if you like
including suggested routes to ride. Local HSTA menbers would also be great
sources of information. I can provide names if you like. Thanks for
organizing this!
