I just replaced mine at 7,600 miles, second rear first front; There was
quite a bit of mileage left in them but did not want to get mid trip and
have to search out a dealer. I got the Macadams, mainly because my dealer
gave me a really good price (90/115). I only have a few miles on them so
can't offer much feedback at this point. I really don't think there is much
of an issue with sticky vs 'non'? sticky. If you are spinning up tires or
sliding through corners due to insufficient traction.......you really need
to stop and go to a race track for your fun. There will be an ambulance for
you when you need it and many less things to collide with when you come off,
and you surely WILL come off. Read what Freddie Spencer has to say in this
weeks Cycle News about his recent mistake; I really think he's a much better
rider than the most of us and if not you really should be making your living
thrashing Anthony Gobert. My $.02.

I think if you find the right dealer you should be able to get a decent
price, I like to support local dealers but not when I have to pay $50-100
extra for a tire.

Funny you should ask, seems my dealer ran out of Triumph oil and substituted
who knows what at the 6,000 mile check. There was a definite difference in
shifting quality, I just changed back to the Triumph oil and the bike is
shifting great again. Mobil 1 might give the same results but I will
probably stick with Triumph for a while.
