I put a rear hugger on my bike a couple of weeks ago, it seems to work just 
fine. The 
plastic seems to hold up good, and it helps keep dirt off the inside of my 
seat. It was easy
to put on, just had to undo the back brake line to slide it in. I don't have 
the hard bags so 
it made the job a lot easier. The carbon fiber one might look tricker, but 
for my money I'd
go with the plastic one.
