Re: tires

Hi Franz,
I had the BT56 on my T509 and found it to be worse than the BT57; not much more sticky and just as unpredictable for slides, but lasted even less km.
A few friends went on the Hockenheimring Michelin Pilot trial day last month. They got the tyres for DM400,- (50% discount) and love them. Both sets have lasted well and are predicted to reach 5000km.
They have the same hi-silica content rubber as the Dragon GTS (Pirelli) (and Metzeler MEZ4 I think). You can feel the difference when you touch the tyre - it feels hard but is deceptively grippy.
I hope you like the BT56 more than I did. Wont ever be buying another Bridgestone if I can help it.
cheers
Jonathan

I just replaced my BT57 (with only 4800 km, 3000 miles) with BT56!
I had no more confidence in the BT57 because I had sometimes the feeling
that the rear BT57 was slipping. Besides as you can see above the BT57
lasted not long, I was very disappointed with this so called "touring"
tires.
The BT56 is a good choice but I cann't yet say anything about durability!

In Switzerland now Michelin announced the new Pilot Sport, which must be a
great tire in accordance with the test reports I read.
When I have to replace both tires, the front and the rear one, I probably
will switch to this new Pilot Sport.

regards and have fun while Sprinting
Franz
