I bought the tank bag when I picked up the bike as I was going on vacation
two days later and the hard bags were on order.
I think it is great. My dealer also sells BMWs, so comparatively speaking
(to Beemers, anyway), the bags was not too pricey.
I love the fact that it expands when you need it. You should have seen all
the stuff I crammed in there on the way home from the dealers. A gallon of
oil, service manual, Triumph rain suit, ST100 wash kit, my shoes (I
purchased the Triumph boots as well). I was quite impressed.
There seems to be a debate as to which way round the bag should be fitted. I
found the tank pad fit much better with the narrow end to the rear, others
may not agree. It also takes a few minutes to attach. Someone on the list
has set up a quick disconnect system. I was thinking that this would make it
really easy to remove (even for someone other than the owner), but the same
already applies to the bag itself. So I might try something on the same
order myself.
One idea I haven't yet sorted is to mount my video camera on the tank pad.
If I ever do figure it out satisfactorily, I will post.
Hope that helps.

Does anyone have the Triumph tank bag? If so, any comments.
