Faulty alarm LED

Saw an EMail on the digest about a faulty alarm LED...

According to the manufacturers of the Triumph (Datatool) Veto alarm, the
Triumph wiring harness has the LED wired the wrong way round. So when the
Veto alarm is fitted, the LED does not light at all.

The fix is to swap the LED wires; I found the easiest place to be at the
connector behind the LED, as it wasn't obvious which pin is which on the
connectors at the alarm end.

The LED is mounted in the central light of the cluster of three lights (the
side light, in UK terms); to get at the connector, you need to take off the
front fairing - windshield screws and mirrors first, then the fairing. Once
you get to the connector, unplug it and you can very carefully remove the
pins from the plastic plug housing, swap them around and push them back into
the housing.
