re: riding in second around town

Second!!  This bike seems all too comfortable winding up to 50-60 in first
gear with nary a whimper, although I confess that it is this very behavior
that makes me lover her so.  If I shift into second gear, I find myself at
70 within a half block!  If I let her breathe any more than I do now,
they'll be revoking my license.  ;-)
