Re: Bad vibrations?

Yes, a small bit of tingling will exist at higher speeds for extended trips, but wearing gloves makes it lessen. Try pushing a Harley over 70 mph...your eyeballs will shake!!) I do not consider vibrations a problem on this bike. When new and breaking in, vibrations will be greater (expected)...and of coarse, certain gears with certain engine speeds, under certain loading can cause a "harmonic" spot (usually when lugging), but will quickly go away when the tach needle rotates clockwise. A few people have faulted the mirrors for being vibration prone at warp speeds. The newer ST's are supossed to have a different mirror mounting subframe, which vibrate less supossedly.

Joined the list a couple of days ago, and am impressed by
the good "mood" of the threads!

However, so far only seen one non-US contribution...

Guess I'll add to that by asking if any of you are troubled by
vibration through the throttle? I've only come across one reference
to such a problem with the ST, but am scared that it might exist.

Am getting shot of my XJ900 & one of the reasons is a continuous
vibration through the throttle that just won't go away...

Have a nice day all!
