Well John, I guess you know that us ST listers would have to weigh in on the
side of the ST, but, I had sort of the opposite experience from yours.
Dealer gave me a Thunderbird Sport to use when I took my ST in for service.
I have always had a soft spot in my heart for that bike, might have bought
it if the rear pegs were usable for passengers. Well the long ride home and
back convinced me that the ST really is a great modern bike and the
Thunderbird Sport, while very enjoyable, was not as competent for any use
other than maybe just riding around town. Just my take.
