Fuel tank vent hose

Eric,
I found the vent lines for the fuel tank and checked them for the
pinching problem. Both were fine and I was able to blow low pressure
through them with no problem. The one with the check valve only allowed
air to flow one way just as you said. I then reconnected them to the
tank and was still able to blow air through them. I also checked to
make sure there were no routing problems or pinching when everything was
reassembled. I then took the bike for a good long ride and at the end
opened the tank filler. Vacuum in the tank once again. What gives?
Dan

BTW I only removed one bolt from the rear fairing (the right bolt under
the seat) and pulled the fairing out of the two grommets forward of this
bolt in order to gain access to the vent lines. Removing the entire
fairing was not necessary. Also no California emissions stuff in there!
