Martin,
I can only recommend that you seriously consider whether you really need the topbox; the side panniers fit snugly, and are barely wider than the bars; they keep the weight distribution low and perhaps even have a positive effect on handling. Conversely I have the top rack plate, Givi converter plate and a Givi 36 and 45l box (have tried both). This badly affects handling above 120kph (70mph), especially in crosswinds, and if taking any significant weight I notice it makes turn-in on corners alot slower. I have really given up on using the topbox, unless under intense pressure from a pillion for the backrest option, as it ruins an otherwise excellent handling bike.
cheers
Jonathan

Can anybody tell me what size they are and can you get a full face crash
helmet in them ?
Also I may still get the Topbox, any idea what size this is ?

Dear Martin,i
The pannier is just big enough for my medium size Arai, if i get the elastic
retaning straps out of the way. I think the top box is a little bigger, but I
am not getting it-just the luggage rack, which will make it possible to
bungee on some soft luggage for long trips. BTW I heard somthing rattling
aoround inside one of my panniers, which turned out to be one of the little
black acorn nuts that hold the hinges and latches. I replaced it, and tried
the others, almost all of which were loose.
