RE: heat



I too am in the greater LA region.  And you are right it is hotter than a
mother out and about.  The heat coming from under and around the fairing is
a blisterer, as I am sure that the ladies and gents also know this in Texas
and some of the other towns in the country.  I actually wear chaps on my ST
and find that even thought they are hot in and of themselves they actually
keep me cooler that being without them on a hot day.  Keeps the heat of the
fairing on the outskin not the inner one.
To my knowledge this was also felt on the race version of this motorcycle.
It is a tradeoff, low end grunt, 11:1 is hot all the time and much more so
when at 9000RPM.
