Triumph Panniers.

I have a set of the Triumph panniers purchased from Jack Lilleys (nowhere
else had them in stock.
I've built the panniers myself ( still can't believe I had to build the
s*dd*ng panniers for 500ukp), and am waiting for the bracketry to be
fitted - yet more money!
How waterproof  are they ?
I used Givi's previously and found these to be totally waterproof.
I'm just wondering if I need to start using the placcy bags again with the
Triumph panniers like I had to with Krausers.
