Dear Lisa,
Thank-you for your helpful suggestions. As a matter of fact, I was wearing
draggin' jeans, too, but over them I had on the Triumph black cordura riding
pants, which breathe a little, but certainly retain heat, and are not vented.
However my complaint was actual burning pain from the hot air blast on the
underside of my thighs, and if it were not for the insulating effect of the
riding pants, I think it would have been worse. Armoured pants with hip pads
have served me well in a couple of low speed get-offs, and I feel naked
without them. I have been through similar heat, similarly attired, on my
unfaired '79 Bonneville, and '96 KLR 650, and even my '95 Trophy 1200
wiothout the searing i received on the ST. Dave
