I got the 2 box panniers (saddlebags) with a seat cowl,  aluminum race
can and it looks just great.  If you remove the boxes then it does
look like the pipe is dragging.  But you can always swing the pipe
upwards.

I too, dislike the looks of the low-pipe with the saddlebags.  I do
not,
however, mind the saddlebags.  To my mind the top-box alone makes the
bike look like pizza delivery scooter.
