I just checked mine and while it sits on a bolt, I could find no wear on
the hose where it makes contact (although the hose has a depression around
the bolt). I would be interested to see how many others find wear at that
point. But as you suggested, I added a thin piece of rubber there for a
little added protection. Couldn't hurt ..... thanks for the tip
