Uh, yeah 10 amps if you want a toasted battery - absolute maximum for that
battery would be 6 amps for no more than 1 hour. Normal charging rate
should not exceed 1.4 A
Looking at the schematic in the service manual, the socket has constant
power. It runs through a fuse block (10A) but other than that, its a
straight connection to the battery.
