Rig,
I've used both the Chaintec (On a TL1000S) and the Scottoiler (On a Bandit).
Given the choice I'd pick the Scottoiler but the chaintec does work. It is more
difficult to bleed because you can't pressureise it like the scottoiler and it's
also more difficult to regulate accurately because the adjuster screw is much
smaller than the scottoilers but if you take the time to set it up properly it
works fine. Any chaintec installations I've seen where people claim the product
doesn't work were down to not reading the instructions! Mount the resevoir as
high as you can. Mount the valve 'horizontally' on the hugger/chain guard and
that's it! To bleed the system simply remove the oil tube at the inlet to the
valve and let gravity bleed it for you. Simple!

Has anyone fitted an automatic chain oilier on there ST?
I've always had a Scottoiler on all my previous bikes,
(http://www.scottoiler.co.uk/) and rate them as one of the most essential
pieces of kit for ANY bike, but I've heard that it will invalidate your
Triumph warranty if you fit one.
Has anyone used any other similar product? I've heard the ChainTec is a load
of S&^T, any advice?
