Re: Helmet hooks

Rick,

I do the same thing on all my bikes. I put a Kryptonite bicycle lock
through the helmet's chin-bar and attach to the bike's passenger grab
handle. Of course, it only works with a full-face helmet. The U-bar on the
Kryptonite lock is long enough that you can secure two helmets
simultaneously. Also, the lock can be easily stowed under the seat of any
bike I've owned.

In 15 years, I've never lost a helmet, but I've heard of helmets
disappearing when secured only by the D-rings.

FYI, I use a Kryptonite New York lock in the long shackle version, which
cost me about $CDN 80.00. Cheap insurance!
