Racing ST

Wow!!

Just finished Reg Pridmore's CLASS at Second Creek Race Track east of Denver
on the ST --- had some real trepidations taking the brand new scoot on the
track and envisioning a nice high side. Took the time to take the entire
middle and lower fairing sections off as I kept reading about other ST
owners who scratched the right lower fairing in tight turns ----- well,
after about 3 laps, any concerns about crashing evaporated and I kept
cranking that baby into the turns ---- what a great machine. By the end of
the day both the right and left side feelers on the foot pegs were nicely
ground down and the outer edges of the tires were nicely scuffed --- great
testimony to fine handling by this machine ---- imminently flickable!!!
Only one major frustration -- that frickin rev limiter!!!! Too many times
to count I'd be accelerating hard in second or down shifting into second and
the limiter would kick in really screwing up my timing and feel getting
ready to scream into another corner---- fortunately this bike will spend 90%
of its life in the real world (vs. the track) so I won't complain too much,
but I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any ideas or information about
whether or not the rev limiter can be elimnated (de-programmed???).

I'd did this class two years ago with my Concours !!! --- riding the 200lb
lighter ST was like the difference between flogging an elephant and dancing
with a butterfly!!!! Show me the Torque!!!!!
