Well, if you know you want one or the other, put the deposit down on the
ST. Once you can sit on it, if you don't like it, I'm sure the dealership
will let you roll the money to the Tiger.

Well, as I owned a 96 Sprint and now have the ST, I guess I have the
credentials to offer an opinion. IMHO the 96 Sprint had one of the worst
designed bars I had ever grabbed onto. It was not the aggressive
positioning, but rather the angle of the bars to the wrists. Just enough of
an angle to make them quite uncomfortable for trips of any length. I
immediately replaced my bars with the bars off the trophy and all was good
with the world again. The ST does put you in a more aggressive position
than the Tiger which sits you almost vertical. Several of the listers are
pushing Gen-Mar about a set of risers - with them installed you'll be a
little more upright. I only find the ST position to aggressive when at slow
speeds - once you get moving at over 35-40mph a lot of the pressure is
taken off your wrists.

I got to ride the Tiger at Daytona last week. It really is a nice machine
and with the new T5 mill, you really can't go wrong with either one. Just a
matter of what your style of riding is going to be. Good luck - keep us
informed of your progress
