Eric,
Seems the 486 that they are using wont save to the com1 port. Thereby
not uploading into the hand held. I made some calls around the state and
finally got ahold of a tech that would explain the process to me. IOT
get the hand held to load it needs a 12 volt dc pwr supply, hooked up to
the proper port on the pc. This is where the break down is occuring. I
called cycle barn in lynwood wa and got the "just bring it down here and
we can do it" spiel. The guys at yamaha-triumph in spokane took the time
to explain the process to me. I needed to talk to a third party and get
the process described. The local guy has all the correct triumph
equipage to upload to the hand held just a sick anemic 486 is the fly in
the ointment. Frustrating. I would think that triumph would supply a
plug in power supply for 12 volt dc instead of the guys rounding up a
motorcycle battery to use for a power supply. Not entirely white smock,
painted floors and all that eh old boy. Well thanks for the reply and
I'll try and get this sorted, Regards, Steve.
