engine mapping

My oh My. Well here's the deal. After my phone conversation with shaun
in georgia, who then had a long talk with my dealer. Seems the
directions on the new download was misunderstood. This compounded with
the computer logistics, was the reason that we couldn't get the info to
the bike.

My snapshot of the software is this. The new flash cards that can now be
updated, have replaced the old gameboy style cartridges. This flash card
was program 4.0 it had to write and delete stuff for 5.0 and then write
the mapping for the current 6.0 engine mapping program for the sprint
and the sprint with neato, mondo, hip hop happening, roosting and a
boosting, throaty, nasty power band, and not intended for public domain
pipe(if my eigth grade english teacher reads this punctuation she'll
stroke out).

Well when I got into it and lofted the front tire going into third was I
ever impressed. As was the local P.D. (Story for another time). It has
lost a bit on the bottom end. But the top end has a really nasty hit.
Some snow boarder was molesting my two favorite 25 mph corners and when
I went to pass him (I will never understand the mentality of a suzuki
samuri driver trying out run a sport bike) and did the usual "watch this
as the torque god awakens". Nothing special happens, then the HIT. Uh oh
I don't make it a practice to go into corners on the street this hard.
Scrub speed Drop two gears and whak it again. I was not ready for this
at all. It really did surprise me.

I really think that I will be a frequent visitor at the dealership. OK
this weekend I and young son are running the cascade loop with camping
equipment. Need the stock tune and pipe for passing RV's on torque
mountain. Next weekend boosting with the FZR's and TLR's have to go to
new pipe and speedville tune. This is just simply too easy. Gone are the
days of Benzene baths changing needles and juggling plugs.

Now if I could just get my bags, luggage rack, CENTERSTAND and a tank
protector from someone I will be in nirvana. I think I'll start calling
this thing the transformer. Hoping this didn't rattle on for too long
and was at least somewhat entertaining, Best regards, Steve.
