Re: Fuel Gauge

I am not convinced by this one; the fuel guage went to bottom of red after 212km. Another 20km and the warning light came on. I refilled the tank and got in only 12.7 litres (which is about correct consumption for 212km = 5l / 100km average). I'm sorry, but have been in 'real' Europe for too long to calculate back to miles/mpg :)
There is no way my tank warning light is coming on with 3.7l of fuel left, as was the case for the 509 (I tried it once and ran out, doh!).
cheers
Jonathan.

As I prommised, I asked the people at Greenib for some answere's.

The problem is caused bij the shape of the tank and the position of the meter
inside the tank.
There is not much we can doe about it.
There are bike with now problems at all and the bikes with serious problems
were all adjusted or repaired ( only 1 or 2 bikes )
One thing is for sure, as soon as the fuelsign starts to lit up, your tank only
has about three or four liters left.
Maybe they change it in the model of 2000, but now it is very unlikely
As soon as there is some news, he lets me know.

In Holland we have a original Triumph tankpad made of carbon.( carbonlook )
Does nobody likes that, or is it not available elswhere ?

Only seven nights of sleep before I get mine !!!!

Greetings
Walter
