I have had three bikes with panniers in the last twelve years. A BMW K100Rs,
Trophy 1200, and now the ST. The Bags on the St are essentially the same as
on the Trophy, only in red, they are simply gorgeous. They do not detract
from the bike in the least. They are simple to mount and dismount, far
easier than the BMW bags at the time, and you will not even notice the
hardware when they are off. The only downside, and it is VERY minor, is that
the angle of the cannister is lowered and looks a little silly pointing
straight out the back..but oh well.

Going to the races is easy, you don't need to carry your leathers and
helmet, just lock them in the bags and go. They are reasonably watertight as
well......so one side could make a nice ice chest if need be :)

They are worth every penny of the $700. US that I paid for them, without the
bags, I would have to drive my truck a lot more and would not be able to
ride 25,000 miles a year.
