One of the things I checked into before buying the ST was availability
of tires. I figured since the Triumph dealer I purchased my bike from
was also a Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki dealer and that GSX-R 600/750,
Bandit 1200, ZRX 1100/11/9R, CBR600F4, 1100XX, Superhawk, 99 VFR, and
Sprint ST all take the same tire size combinations, that buying tires
would be an off the shelf experience. When I went in to buy a new rear,
they not only didn't have the standard Bridgestone, they didn't have a
single 180/55ZR17 from any manufacturer. Only had to wait a week for
the tire, and since there was still some tread left on the original, I
didn't have any downtime either.
