Call me an optimist, but I would still rather the protection. The
way I look at it, a bike is a relatively small target with the
headlight being the only possible reflection surface (AFAIK). So
while the LEO is trying to get a lock [s]he could hit the detector.
As well it takes a bit of time for any speed detection equipment
to get a lock on you. So if you are really quick at hitting the
binders it is possible that even if they have you targeted, they
may not get a lock on your speed.
