In fact Peter's post included ascii information encoding for the pictures of
the seat cowl modification. All e-mail attachments are sent in this way -
the modern browsers recognise this immediately and decode the attachments to
filenames without showing the reader the 'garbage'. I guess when the file
is integrated into a digest, the format changes and browsers don't manage
the separations.

The answer is for people to use the upload page rather than attach files to
messages to The List. Or else, if that is OK with you Eric, send them
direct to the SysOp.

In terms of colour, Blue is definitely best. The first blue picture on the
website was from the original press release from triumph and this was a very
poor match for the vibrant colour that is Saphire blue. I know because I
saw it at JLs and it was nothing like the bike I finally bought.
CoolBlue.jpg was previously circulating which is what Steve Lilley posted to
The List having taken a picture of me with a DigiCam when I picked up my
bike from him (thanks Steve!). But I agree that the page in the Triumpg
website is a good match ( http://www.triumph.co.uk/showroom/pics4.html ).

Does anyone know any good paint shops in the west London area? By wife's
pushbike took an unsightly chunk of paint and plastic off the front fairing,
which will need to be filled and painted. I have a crack in the left hand
side fairing side panel as well, (from a 0 mph drop) and the two might be
worth repairing rather than having to fork out for 2 new panels (the side
panel itself is £200+).

Graham
