RE: 2000 and Paint



Natural aluminum corrodes just like any other metal (except some SS and
brass) when exposed to the atmosphere.  I have to agree that I do not like a
black painted frame.

I second the idea of someone at Triumph providing some info on what's been 
updated for 2000.  Even though most of it is little stuff like mirrors and 
colors, it is useful to someone like me who is considering 're-buying' the 
2000 model after owning a '99.

Also, someone commented on the RS' black painted frame, prefering the 
'natural polished aluminum' of the ST.  To me the ST's frame is painted 
'aluminum color.'  It doesn't look or feel like natural aluminum to me nor 
does it look like natural aluminum frames on other bikes like Hondas.  Which

makes me wonder, why don't they just use natural aluminum like other bikes?
