I ride out of Brooklyn, NYC.  It only becomes a problem when stuck in Tunnel
traffic.  But when traffic come to a dead halt for several minutes, I
certainly lane split.  Either that or pass out from the fumes and heat.

I'm still considering my purchase of an ST.  Is this heat problem
common?
How severe is it?  How about you riders in the Northeast (New Jersey and
points north), does this bother you, or is it noticeable only in the
warmer parts of the country?

We are down by Philadelphia and I can't say that I have seen heat as a
problem, even in the temperatures here this year and in town commuting.
