Re: st-digest V1999 #238



I don't have an alarm or any other power take-offs on my ST,
except the usual standard stuff.
On both occasions, I checked - and at least one person
verified - that no lights were on (after dark, to make sure)
so it looks like there is some other explanation.
I take the other guy's point about cable-starting introducing
the possibility of electrical surges and therefore tampering
with the electrics, but I really don't see much choice if it
happens in the middle of nowhere.
I mean, wouldn't that apply to most modern, hi-tech bikes?
