Yes, it is a BMW style plug.  I got one at a BMW dealer for about $12.  I have also heard that John Deer tractors use this same plug.

What kind of plug fits the accessory socket on the ST ? 

It looks like a single prong connector, but I don't know the type. 

Specifically I'm looking for one to fit to an Aerostich electric vest.
They offer connector options of SAE, QuiConnect and BMW. 

I don't know what a BMW socket looks like. The ST doesn't use a BMW
socket by any chance, does it ?
