Hiya, Steve -- good theory! I also have a blue ST, and I put it up on
the center stand every time I fill up. Knock on wood, the fuel guage
goes to the top and stays there a good while (75 miles?). I've only
filled it three or four times, though, so maybe the fuel guage gremlin's
still waiting to surprise me...
