Please be aware that your body has been extremely shocked. The adrenalin
pumped out by your body today will ensure that you don't feel much. Make
sure you don't work even if you feel OK. Your body will need a few weeks
rest and recuperation. The effects of a shock such as this sometimes don't
become apparent until weeks or even months after the incident.
Good Luck.

Totally agree! Watch out for those soft tissue injuries which can take
longer to heal than bones. They should be treated like contact sports
injuries as these injuries tend to be wrenching joint, tendon, ligament
traumas, and if you have any which become apparent, get a referral to the
best sports injury orthopod consultant after asking around, because it can
make a huge difference if you want to continue to be active in your old age.
They aren't treated seriously enough after m/c accidents. It's not that
they're overlooked accidentally, it's done on purpose because of the time and
cost involved in diagnosis and treatment. If you have a problem, get
referred, insist on MRI scans wherever needed. The insurance should cover
all this cost which your solicitor should claim for. If you want me to
recommend one, Simon Moyes who resides in Harley Street is on the web under
his name. Don't be bullied by local consultants who's business it is to
discharge everyone as soon as possible, and A&E's don't help with these
injuries so forget them unless something is broken.
Wishing you a 'speedy' recovery, Ann, Kent, Britain.
