I've only heard it as I'm coasting to a stop, usually in second gear. The
sound may be there at other times, but the engine/wind noise may mask it. I
don't notice any performance drop as I'm coasting, but the engine noise
sounds the same. It sounds like the noise is coming from behind, not from
the engine. Of course with a helmet it's hard to know. I guess I'll find a
parking lot and see if I can duplicate it.
