Re: Fuel tank mystery.. Question's



For those that have had, or are having this leak, is it from newly 
replaced sending units or also new bikes or both ( RS & ST)??

Do we know if the TT600 or any other Triumphs use the same sender and 
are having similar problems?

Also for those that have had this leak develop how long a gestation 
period has it been from the time the new sender was installed to the 
problem beginning?? a day, a week, a month?

Lastly, Matt do you think it's the sealant dissolving or maybe that 
the vendor that Triumph sources the senders from did a batch where 
the sealant wasn't applied correctly?  I'm only guessing here but I 
can't imagine any manufacturer that would be making a unit for this 
type of application not using the correct sealant. I can imagine it 
not being applied correctly, or not curing or even the company that 
makes the sealant screwing up.
