I've used it to repair (among other things) a break in an underground
sprinkler pipe (nicked by a machine laying cable feed for my cable
modem) and a hole in a large pottery "jug" which is part of a patio
fountain (the fix is permanently under water).

In both those cases, and every where else I've used it, it worked great.
Nasty to clean off your hands though. Use disposable gloves if
possible.
