It is located in the bottom left rear section of the tank. What confuses me
is several people have commented that there is very little clearance for
the sensor wire, yet mine doesn't come close to anything as it sits to the
left side. It can easily be seen while installed by looking through the
right side of the bike (by the rear brake reservoir) toward the left side
of the tank.
Now for those that have had the leak - my tank is wet just above the
sealing edge of the fuel sensor. I cannot see any gas on the sensor wire or
epoxy. This sounds to me like the sensor mounting bolts have loosened
slightly (not the cracked epoxy) - I have not had the tank off, but will do
so tonight.
Any thoughts ?
