I noticed the difference in HP figures in the Motorcyclist review also so I 
e-mailed them to ask if they used a different dyno.  The answer was "no" and 
something about "numbers creep".  Sorry, I don't consider ~10 Hp (and more 
importantly ~10%) to be numbers creep.  The most amazing figure though is 
their average MPG of 34 for the RS.  The worst I have personally experienced 
is 42 with a best of 53.  I think this is similar to what others have 
reported for both bikes. Perhaps something was wrong with their test 
bike...I believe the article did state the bike was previously crashed.
