An Electrifying Question

Hey Paul:
The accessory socket can most certainly handle more than the 2amp fuse
in your plug. I rode all this past winter with a full compliment of
gerbing electrics plugged into the accessory socket with no problems. I
would imagine that the plug you have is designed for a specific purpose
such as a radar detector, CD player, communicators or battery trickle
charger or something. At any rate, being that the circuit is protected
by a 15amp fuse, all wiring on that circuit must be able to handle the
15amp load or else there exists the problem of the wiring overheating.
Doubtful that Triumph would have designed it that way especially since
the heated grips are an option and not everyone gets them.
