I had the operation done recently and I haven't been stopped.
I think the police would need to be very on the ball and a) know when the
law was introduced and the models to which it applies
b) have dual vision to see the headlights at the front and the number plate
at the rear
c) be above average police IQ to put 2 and 2 together without making 19.
because  models predating a certain year (1999?) get off the hook.
See what I mean?
