Re: Tools - Good Brand Names

Just to add, Sears has a Professional Line of tools that are really
even nicer than the regular tools, and worth the couple of extra
bucks, polished open end wrenches etc.. And yes Eric I forgot Matco.
The thing to keep in mind is that the Snap On's etc are SO expensive
because the guys that buy them use them every day and their
livelihoods depend on getting it done right and in a timely fashion.
Just don't cheap out on the crappy made in Korea or Chinese tools,
first time you strip out a screw or round off a nut you'll understand
why GOOD tools are worth every penny!

Erik

PS: Also consider a good tool box .. Doesn't do one much good if you
don't know what you have or where they are !

The best non professional tools are Sears Craftsman, period. If you
feel like spending the really big $$ the BEST are either Snap On or
Mac.. depending on who you talk to. But overall the Craftsman stuff
just can't be beat and they warranty all of their tools for life..
ever break one Sears will replace it no questions asked.
