riddle me this, batman ?????

 why is it that approx 1/2 to 2/3 of the way thru each digest, there appears 
to be a "mime" format message, which then sends my screen into 'blue hair' 
mode <with approx 5 characters per line> ?  if it is someone who is send HTML 
mail instead of plain text, would they PUHLEEZE adjust parameters
