My 2000 RS has a similar problem between 3rd and 2nd, listed that way
because it usually manifests itself when downshifting. It isn't usually a
problem on the street, but on the track it can get a bit exciting. And, of
course, the tranny found the false neutral at the Streets of Willow Springs
as I was entering turn four right in front of Reg Pridmore's lady friend
Gigi. I totally botched the corner, naturally. Luckily, Gig was
understanding and we had a good laugh about it after the session.
