Don,  My ST sat for acouple of weeks this past fall and behaved like yours.
The battery had enough juice to turn the motor over well but not enough to
fire the plugs. This fouled the plugs and would not let it start even after
charging the battery. Recharge and try a new set of plugs.  HTH
