apologies

I would like to apologize to the fellow listers for starting what seems
to be such an inflammatory subject.  First of all, the incident in
question didn't happen to me, or to anyone I know.  I had read it and
was wondering if anyone here had heard about it, if it was true.  

That's about it.  I'll think before I act next time...
