The terms are pretty much interchangeable here in the US. At work I
usually see boxes of fasteners labeled: "hex screws", "machine screws",
"cap screws", and "carriage bolts." This leads me to believe that
"screws" are screwed in and "bolts" have a nut applied to them in order
to bolt things together. Someone once told me that when one buys
hardware, "bolts" come with nuts and "screws" don't. 

Then again, I'm not an engineer. Heck, I'm not even a real carpenter,
but I play one in the movies. ;-)

Around these parts height has nothing to so with helmet size. You might
fit into a medium jacket and have a large head.

I'm 6'-2". I try on helmets before I buy them. I wear an XL jacket and a
Large RF-800.

People with small heads. Small dawgs wear 'em too!
