Can't comment on the US as I'm an ex-Brit Canadian living in Beautiful
British Columbia, Canada. All I can tell you is that a Sprint ST sells for
$13,899 dealer list in Canadian dollars (about $9,600US or about £5,800) plus:
federal tax (VAT/GST) @ 7%
provincial tax (BC) @ 7%
PDI & freight about $200
Total - about $16,000 Cdn / $11,000 US / £6,700.
Unlike the UK, US and Canadian prices are always shown *before* tax. That's
because sales tax varies from state to state in the US, and from province
to province in Canada.
Oregon, USA and Alberta, Canada (to name two) have no state/provincial
sales tax, though Albertans still have to pay 7% federal sales tax.
